Here’s a sample of some of the photos I took in NYC during my trip for the ADC (Art Directors Club) Student Portfolio Review. I purposely went a few days earlier so I could adventure around New York since it was my first trip there. :)

There’s so much to write about. I kind of slacked off my blog updating the last semester because I simply did not have the time. I graduated on Sunday from Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in web development. Now the epic job search begins.. Rather, it begun a few days ago. :)

Once I get a job, I’m looking to move out of my parents house. As partial motivation, I’ve started slowly sorting through my things (Again.. it’s a process I do every few months. This time I’m serious. :D ) so once it’s time to move, there’s less work to do.

My cats are staring at me and wishing I’d go to bed. Tomorrow I have more job searching, cleaning and freelance to do. Once I’m done with a meeting and running over to my old job, I will be hanging out with a few friends I haven’t seen since I think November. Supposedly going to see Bridesmaids, which is fitting since I’m the maid of honor in my friends Kristen and Erik’s wedding.

Anywho, I’ll be sure to update. I have a long posting on my New York trip I would like to do before I forget it all. :)

I must say I do love Rhapsody. They have a pretty good deal going for them.. $10/month for unlimited downloads? I spend that on iTunes easily within a month. I loves it so.

Thanks to Rhapsody, I have listened to Tron Legacy’s soundtrack and I must say it’s pretty epic. I had it running in the background while doing some design homework and riding the Metra.. it’s pretty sweet and I definitely recommend it.

Also, I have to admit it on here, for those that don’t know, I love, love, love Glee. I saw “Glee Live” this summer and met a decent amount of the cast and they are wonderful. I hope to see them this coming year when they tour again..

And speaking of tours.. I was introduced to Dispatch four years ago and I absolutely love them. One day about two months ago, I randomly went to their website and saw they had a countdown running.. http://www.dispatchmusic.com/ I can only hope they are releasing a new CD and going on tour. I’d love to see them.

So as of lately I have called 2010 the year of concerts and meeting famous people.

I saw the Glee Kids as I mentioned in May. I also saw Aerosmith, one of my all time favorite bands. :) Their opener was Buckcherry and they were alright. Then later on I saw KISS which was as equally as awesome. :) And then Toby Keith.. So many concerts. I also saw Joan Jett and the Blackhearts at Ridgefest.

Another thing that amuses me greatly is how I saw William Shatner at Comic Con, among a few other people, and hah, even met Mr. Rod Blagojevich. Yes, 2010 was an interesting year. I feel as if I’m leaving something out. …oh well. Oh and Michael Buble.

Any who, musically it was a great year. Comic Con and ACen were great too.

Another artist I’ve been listening to lately has been Bruno Mars. I didn’t listen to him too much other than “Billionaire” before Glee’s latest episodes. Since then, I really like him. :)

So for 2011.. This is my wish list. Seeing Les Miserables live, then seeing the following bands: Chicago, Glee Live, Dispatch and maybe Iron and Wine. :) I wish there was some miracle that Save Ferris would reunite.. Meh. Seeing Vampire Weekend or Belle and Sebastian would be cool too. :)
